Melania Trump Delivers Farewell Video Message Amid Reports She Won’t Give Jill Biden a White House Tour

First lady Melania Trump delivered a farewell video message today where she began by saying “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as First Lady of the United States.”

The message was delivered amid reports that the first lady has not reached out to incoming first lady Jill Biden and will not be giving her a tour of the family residence of the White House, breaking a tradition that goes back to the 1950s when Bess Truman hosted her replacement, Mamie Eisenhower.

Melania tweeted out the video as well and was met with supporters of the incoming administration who mocked her video.

Twitter verified actor Neil Hopkins gave what some might consider a xenophobic response and said, “I always thought it was hilarious that you say you speak six languages when you barely speak two. Your English is inexcusably bad.”

Liberal author Andy Cohen quoted a jacket that the first lady once wore, when she was under fire from the media, and said, “I really don’t care, do you?”

Actress Angela Belcamino, who was proudly blocked by President Trump, got in one final dig where she said, “I’m so beyond thrilled your reign as first lady is toast. Good riddance and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”

Belcamino also wondered in an additional tweet, “Who else couldn’t even get through a minute of this?”

There were messages of support also, however. Twitter user “Ava- I Love My USA” said, “Going to miss our beautiful, classy First Lady so much…”

Conservative activist Evan Kilgore said he believes that she is the “Greatest First Lady ever.”
