Mike Pence Breaks Silence, Tells Press he Welcomes Efforts of House and Senate to Object and Bring Evidence on January 6th

Vice President Mike Pence has been largely quiet while President Trump has waged political war against what he claims is a fraudulent election that gave Joe Biden the win in 2020. The Trump campaign has been working with various people to try to prove their claims with various different pieces of evidence to show what they believe to be improprieties in at least four key swing states.

Pence has been accused of not doing more to help Trump and some have said he would be committing treason to go along with certifying the win for Biden. Although this statement probably won’t quell the anger from those who don’t think Pence has done enough, it should spark some new and interesting conversation.

CNN’s Jim Acosta tweeted out that Pence’s office has indeed put out an official statement in support of the House and Senate Objecting to Biden’s win without a more thorough investigation. Trump has yet to concede, and we are heading for some interesting days ahead of us to be sure.

While it’s unlikely we will see the 2020 election get overturned, there is more resistance than any election has seen in modern history, and Trump’s supporters are fired up. Jim Acosta tweeted out the statement from Pence’s team.

Statement from Pence’s Chief of Staff Marc Short: “Vice President Pence shares the concerns of millions of Americans about voter fraud and irregularities in the last election”

“The Vice President welcomes the efforts of members of the House and Senate to use the authority they have under the law to raise objections and bring forward evidence before the Congress and the American people on January 6th,” the statement added.

It’s hard to say for sure if Trump and Pence are on the same page right now. Nevertheless, if you stay tuned to the news in the coming days, more is sure to be revealed in a very short period of time.

We reported previously that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is leading a coalition of Senators along with many House Reps to object to Biden’s reported win in part:

It was reported today that a coalition of GOP senators and senators-elect, led by Sen. Ted Cruz and they will object to the Jan. 6 certification of the presidential election results when a joint session of Congress meets next week unless there is an emergency 10-day audit of the results by an electoral commission.

Members of the coalition that are intending to join the objection are Sens. Ron Johnson (R-WI), James Lankford (R-OK), Steve Daines (R-MT), John Kennedy (R-LA), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and Mike Braun (R-IN), as well as Sens.-elect Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).

The group said that the election “featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud and illegal conduct.”

Their effort is separate from one announced by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), who said this week that he would object to what he said was the failure of some states, most notably Pennsylvania, to follow their own election laws.
