Mitch McConnell has Suffered a Concussion, will Remain in the Hospital for a Few Days

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell will be in the hospital for a few days as it has been revealed he has suffered a concussion as a result of a fall.

“Update: Mitch McConnell has suffered a concussion. He will remain hospitalized a few more days for observation and treatment.”

While at a dinner for the Senate Leadership Fund, McConnell tripped and fell. The dinner was at the former Trump International Hotel, now the Waldorf Astoria Washington D.C.

Spokesman David Popp shared that McConnell is being treated for a concussion and “is grateful to the medical professionals for their care and to his colleagues for their warm wishes.”

Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) speculated that McConnell will return to the Senate next week and shared, “he’s doing well, feels fine, but had a concussion.”

Joe Biden tweeted:

“Jill and I are wishing Senator McConnell a speedy recovery. We look forward to seeing him back on the Senate floor.”

It appears that McConnell is doing well and is only being held for observation. Previously we reported:
