MTG Mocks ‘Liar’ Liz Cheney For Trying to Compare Herself to Abraham Lincoln and Calls Primary Election Result ‘A Clear Message’

Following her resounding primary defeat last night, lame-duck U.S. Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) tried to compare herself to Abraham Lincoln in a speech.

Cheney pointed out that Lincoln had both lost a House and a Senate race prior to being elected president.

Despite Cheney’s history lesson being accurate, the circumstances were certainly far different in Lincoln’s case.

Lincoln won the House seat the following election after he lost the Whig party nomination and it was also his first attempt at a higher office after being a state legislator.

In regards to the Senate, Lincoln lost due to the fact that the state legislature elected the Senators at the time and Democrats held the majority.

U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) fired back at Cheney’s comparison attempt in a tweet.

“A clear message is being sent about what the Republican Party needs to be,” Greene declared.

Greene explained that “It’s not anything like liar Liz Cheney, who is nothing like Abraham Lincoln.”

After Cheney told NBC News that she is thinking about running for president, Greene stated in a quote tweet of a clip of her interview, “.@RepLizCheney has a mental illness called Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

“Just like the rest of the globalists who are obsessed with power and money and don’t give a damn about America or the good hard working American people. Our party is no longer her party, she’s the Uniparty,” Greene insisted.
