A new Gallup poll shows that there has been a seven-point swing with those who identify or lean with the Republican Party.
“Americans’ political party preference during 2021 shifted from Democrat to Republican in the largest move since Gallup began regularly measuring party identification and leaning in 1991.”

Gallup reported, “Gallup asks all Americans it interviews whether they identify politically as a Republican, a Democrat or an independent. Independents are then asked whether they lean more toward the Republican or Democratic Party. The combined percentage of party identifiers and leaners gives a measure of the relative strength of the two parties politically.
Both the nine-point Democratic advantage in the first quarter and the five-point Republican edge in the fourth quarter are among the largest Gallup has measured for each party in any quarter since it began regularly measuring party identification and leaning in 1991.“
Biden started his term with a nine-point advantage in those who affiliate/lean towards the Democrat Party, however, in the fourth quarter Republicans lead by five points, according to this Gallup poll. After the second quarter, Democrats began their sharp decrease in support.
This comes as Biden has crisis’ across all fronts as Americans begin experiencing a “dark winter”. As the economy suffers from inflation and vaccine mandates are being instituted, the Democrats seem to be dooming themselves for the 2022 midterms. Many Liberals and left-leaning fact-checkers may claim Biden is not to blame for many of these issues so we assert that this is just our opinion.
