After doctors gave a rosy report for President Trump’s condition this morning, rumors have been swirling that things may not be quite as good, and CNN’s Jim Acosta, as well as others, have been citing an off the record source that many are demanding clarity on.
Politico reporter Ryan Lizza just tweeted out “It was Mark Meadows”, claiming he is the source, putting White House Chief of Staff and former Congressman Meadows in the hot seat. Is he sowing doubt in the background and going against what the official doctor reports are saying? See tweet below:

Jim Acosta has clarified his claims now, wherein he originally said:
“The WH TV pool just received this quote from “a source familiar with the President’s health…” – “The President’s vitals over last 24 hours were very concerning and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care. We are still not on a clear path to a full recovery.”
Now he has retweeted that comment with the additional context of:
“Asked about this comment, a senior WH official said: “some of the vital signs early Friday were concerning and indicated a potential for a more serious progression of the disease.” See tweet:

It seems as though someone is going to have to come out and clarify the record, as this situation is too important for rumors and news to not be matching. Mark Meadows needs to clarify this for the American people. This is also giving left-wing media pundits fuel to fire their negative speculation and allowing them to have a field day with this situation:

Deadline reported:
UPDATE: Just minutes after President Donald Trump’s physician presented a relatively rosy picture of his COVID-19 condition, a source familiar with the president’s health gave a much more concerning picture.
“The president’s vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care. We’re still not on a clear path to a full recovery,” the source said in the statement, which was sent to members of the White House pool.
Additionally, the New York Times and the AP is reporting that sources tells them Trump was given “supplemental oxygen” at the White House on Friday before being choppered over to Walter Reed Medical Center later that day. The question of oxygen being administered was deflected by Dr. Sean Conley during the brief presser in front of Walter Reed this morning.
President Trump also just tweeted an update, in an attempt to reassure supporters and Americans alike:
“Doctors, Nurses and ALL at the GREAT Walter Reed Medical Center, and others from likewise incredible institutions who have joined them, are AMAZING!!!Tremendous progress has been made over the last 6 months in fighting this PLAGUE. With their help, I am feeling well!”
