Democratic Georgia Senate Candidate Jon Ossoff has just said in a recent speech that “we can ban plastic waste”. The Democratic Challenger said, “We can have a clean, beautiful, healthy planet. We can ban plastic waste. We can end the destruction of our climate.” Below is the full clip.

Ossoff is trying to unseat Republican Incumbent Senator David Perdue in the January runoff election after neither candidate was able to crack 50%. Perdue had about an 88,000 votes lead on Ossoff and was almost 2% in front of him.
However, the race seems to be tighter as Joe Biden was able to win the state and many Georgia Republicans are threatening to stay home in January as they feel disenfranchised by the Senate GOP.
Luckily for Ossoff, the climate isn’t a keystone issue in the state but may be used in an attack ad by the GOP to paint him as a “Radical Left-wing Socialist” who will ban plastic. The GOP and the Democratic Party are both pouring in millions of dollars and President Trump is rallying supporters in Georgia on Saturday for both Republican incumbent Senators.
