“RINO” Utah U.S. Senator and failed 2012 presidential candidate, Mitt Romney (R), warned radical leftists the consequences of ending the filibuster, which to him, included Trump winning in 2024.

Romney went on the Senate floor Tuesday to defend the Fillibuster, “The United States Senate is one of our vital democratic institutions, and the power given to the minority in the Senate and the resulting requirement for political consensus are among the Senate’s defining features.”
He continued, “There is also a reasonable chance Republicans will win both houses in Congress, and that Donald Trump himself could once again be elected president in 2024. Have Democrats thought what it would mean for them — for the Democrat minority — to have no power whatsoever?”
Unlike the Mormon Senator, Trump was able to win in the presidential election and move forward with conservative principles. The bitter lawmaker has never been known to like the former president.
The Democrat’s push for the ending of the filibuster comes as Republicans in the Senate have held up key parts of their agenda including “voting rights” legislation. Unfortunately for the Democrats, they don’t even have full support from their entire party. Even so, if they somehow managed to nuke the Fillibuster, there very well could be pushback, come the 2022 midterms from voters.
