Saturday, The New York Times reported that Biden’s White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain is planning to step down in the coming weeks.
Apparently, Klain has been telling colleagues privately since the midterms that he is planning to resign. This is the most significant resignation from the Biden administration since Biden took over The White House.
Who the successor will be is not yet clear or if anyone has yet been chosen. Sources have relayed that the announcement will likely come during or shortly after Biden’s State of the Union address next month.
The news of this significant resignation comes amid turmoil at the White House surrounding Biden’s Classified Document Scandal. It may be a signal of things changing within the White House amid the scandal, we may see even more resignation in the months to come.
Klain will likely stay on to make sure the transition to his successor is a smooth one before he completes his departure.
The Biden administration has been failing for many reasons as well. High oil prices, inflation, falling home prices, high crime, high illegal immigration. Many wonder if this is what he actually wants as well, but needs a fall guy.
It’s been predicted that Karine Jean-Pierre may be on her way out as well.
