A search warrant has been obtained by the Santa Fe County Sheriff for actor Alec Baldwin’s cell phone over the “Rust” fatal shoooting after he refused a request.

According to local KOAT Action News, documents show investigators asked Baldwin for his phone, but he told them they needed to get a warrant.

Business Insider reported that according to the search warrant, Baldwin told police that he exchanged emails with the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, regarding what style of gun to use in the film.

Baldwin took to Instagram yesterday to wish his mother, Carol M. Baldwin, a happy 92nd birthday, sharing an image of her sitting in an armchair surrounded by balloons including a pair that read “92” as well as one that is a massive unicorn on its hind legs right beside her as she opens gifts.

“Today, my mother is 92. Unf***ing believable.,” Baldwin captioned the image.

Baldwin added, “Living proof that a diet of Brownies, Tab, @wegmans and @jeopardy will lead to a longer life. Happy birthday!!!”

As we previously reported, Baldwin was holding a gun that he claims discharged, without him pulling the trigger, that struck and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

One of the first viral images after the fatal shooting showed Baldwin on his phone.
