Federal Judge Drew Tipton from southern Texas has indefinitely Banned President Biden’s 100 Day Deportation pause. Breaking 911 tweeted:

“BREAKING: U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton has indefinitely banned enforcement of Pres. Biden’s 100 day deportation pause -Fox News”

Drew Tipton filled the last open seat on Texas federal bench last year on June 3rd. A tweet from Craig Caplan shows the Senate confirmation.

“Federal judge Drew Tipton, who indefinitely banned the enforcement of the Biden Administration 100-day deportation moratorium late Tuesday, was nominated by President Trump to be US District Court judge for Southern Texas and confirmed by Senate last year on a party line vote. 52-41: Senate confirms Drew Tipton to be US District Court judge for Southern TX on party line vote & fills the last vacancy on TX federal bench. He is 143rd US District judge & 198th federal judge overall to be confirmed by Senate to lifetime appointment during Trump presidency.”

On January 26th Tipton ruled the moratorium violated federal law on administrative procedure and that the U.S. failed to show why a deportation pause was justified. At that time the judge issued a temporary restraining order which was set to expire yesterday but was solidified late Tuesday by the judges ruling until the case is resolved.

This shows that Trump’s push to fill as many vacancies on the bench as possible during his four years as president will have lasting effects. This may give some hope to those worried about illegal immigrants flooding our country.
