Trump Campaign Roasts Acosta After He Criticizes Trump For Touring Arizona Facility Without a Mask

President Trump toured a Honeywell mask production facility in Arizona today and CNN White House Correspondant Jim Acosta was part of the Press Corps that attended as well.

Acosta made a series of tweets about the event, one of which showed a picture of Trump with goggles on looking at a machine as well as a picture that showed a sign that said “face mask required in this area.”

The Trump Campaign responded that not only did “the facility” say “officials were not required to wear masks,” but that “as Dr. Fauci has explained, a mask is not necessary for people whose health status is known.”

Jim Acosta: Trump not wearing mask but goggles at Honeywell facility. Other aides not wearing masks at all. Sign in facility says “face mask required in this area.”

Trump War Room: According to the press pool, “A White House official said that the facility said officials were not required to wear masks but to take all precautions.” And as Dr. Fauci has explained, a mask is not necessary for people whose health status is known.

Dr. Fauci: Why am I not wearing a face mask now? Okay, there are a couple of reasons. One of them is that part of the, in fact the major reason to wear a face mask, is to protect you (me) from infecting you. I had my test yesterday and it’s negative, okay.

In a retweet of his original tweet, but before the campaign had responded Acosta said that “WH official said they were told by Honeywell officials they didn’t need to wear masks.” He didn’t take the original tweet down however.

He later tweeted out more criticism for the playing of Rolling Stones song You can’t always get what you want at the end of his speech, “just as they do at his rallies.”
