Former Republican Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney isn’t happy that U.S. House Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is back in the race for Speaker of the House.
Jordan had previously dropped out and a private vote was held by Republicans to see if U.S. House Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) could get the votes. Scalise was unable to secure enough votes and then dropped out Thursday evening. Jordan is now back in and Cheney let loose on what she thinks.
She shared on X:
“Jim Jordan was involved in Trump’s conspiracy to steal the election and seize power; he urged that Pence refuse to count lawful electoral votes. If Rs nominate Jordan to be Speaker, they will be abandoning the Constitution. They’ll lose the House majority and they’ll deserve to.”

The news came in that ousted Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is throwing his support behind Jordan. McCarthy, it appears, wants to strengthen Republicans in the House and sees Jordan as the man to bring the party together.

Cheney is making Jordan’s run for speakership all about her “favorite” President Donald Trump. Cheney is one of many Republican congressmen who voted to impeach Trump after January 6th. It seems she still has her Trump hatred blinders on as the House tries to decide on a Speaker who can unify Republicans.
Austin Scott (R-GA) announced this morning that he filed to run for Speaker of the House. He shared the revelation on X:

It seems that Jordan may just be the guy to lead the House, but we will see what happens when voting starts. RINOs in their selfishness may still try to block the best man for the job for someone open borders and pro war.
