Yesterday, President Trump said in a telephone interview that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has “done nothing” to ensure the integrity of the recent election and that he was “ashamed” that he endorsed the governor in his 2018 election bid against Stacey Abrams.
Today, the president tweeted out suggestions that Gov. Kemp could take to remedy the situation in his opinion.
“Why won’t Governor Kemp, the hapless Governor of Georgia, use his emergency powers, which can be easily done, to overrule his obstinate Secretary of State, and do a match of signatures on envelopes,” Trump wondered.
Trump continued, “It will be a ‘goldmine’ of fraud, and we will easily WIN the state. Also, quickly check the number of envelopes versus the number of ballots.”
“You may just find that there are many more ballots than there are envelopes. So simple, and so easy to do,” Trump explained if those steps are taken.
Trump concluded, “Georgia Republicans are angry, all Republicans are angry. Get it done!”

The tweet was given a notice from Twitter that “this claim about election fraud is disputed.”
In 2018, Abrams lost to Kemp by a much larger margin, 55,000 votes, and believed that there was “voter suppression,” which she tweeted out about a number of times and never received a label.
Waiting 4 hours to vote. Broken machines. Students, Georgians with disabilities and seniors never receiving the absentee ballots they requested.

Our democracy shouldn't look like this. Georgians deserve better, and we will continue to fight to #CountEveryVote.
