Trump Retweets Supporter’s Obamagate Meme That Says: It’s On! Watergate Will Look Like a Parking Ticket!

We reported earlier how Obamagate was trending on Twitter and it had been tweeted over 4 million times at the last count. President Trump tweeted it out many times today and one retweet from last night has attracted the attention of publications in the UK.

He retweeted a meme with a picture of Obama looking befuddled and the words, “Obamagate. It’s on! Watergate will look like a parking ticket!” The meme was created by Conservative Politics Today, who publish on the website, USLibertywire.com.

Another UK publication that used the meme in their article, The Daily Mail, believed that during a press conference in the Rose Garden today, the president offered no definition of what he was actually alleging.

During the press conference, he was asked by a Washington Post reporter: “In one of your Mother’s Day tweets you appear to accuse President Obama of the biggest crime in American history by far – those were your words. ‘What crime exactly are you accusing President Obama of committing and do you believed the Justice Department should prosecute him?”

Trump responded by defining it for the reporter, “Obamagate.” He then clearly summed it up by saying, “It’s been going on a long time. It’s been going on from before I even got elected and it’s a disgrace that it happened, and if you look at what’s gone on and if you look at now, at all this information that’s been released, and from what I understand that’s only the beginning, terrible things happened, and it should never be allowed to happen in our country again and you’ll be seeing what going on over the next, over the coming weeks and I wish you’d write honestly about it, but unfortunately you choose not to do so.”

The reporter was unsatisfied and asked, “What is the crime exactly that you’re accusing him of?” Trump replied, “You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody. All you have to do is read the newspapers, except yours.”
