Tucker Carlson shared he was not happy his private text messages has been made public. He implies that they were used to convey a misleading message.
Carlson said while he was on WABC Tuesday, “And I think this is in the text, and those were all grabbed completely illegitimately, in my opinion um in this court case, which I guess I’m not allowed to talk about, but I’m enraged that my private texts were pulled.”
Some of what was shared included, “We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can’t wait.” He added, “I hate him passionately. … I can’t handle much more of this.”
The texts were released in a defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News.
Carlson told WABC host Sneardly when asked about it, “Oh, let’s see. I spent four years defending his policies and I, I’m going to defend them again tonight. And actually, and I’m pretty straight forward, I’m um I love Trump. Like, as a person, I think Trump is funny and insightful.”
Carlson then told Sneardly he had already talked with Trump after the texts were released, “And I said this to Trump when he called me, you know, all wounded about those texts. That was a moment in time where I was absolutely infuriated.”
Carlson explained the text messages were between him and on of his producers over, “some idiot on the Trump campaign had sent us the name of these dead voters who had voted”. Carlson read the names on air. Well it turned out that some on the list were alive and legally registered to vote Carlson wasn’t happy.
“And we went and I repeated them on air, and it turns out some of them were alive. So I was just, I felt humiliated.”
Trump and Carlson have worked it out after the texts were released to the public. It seems that Carlson made the comments while he was upset.
