Anti-Trump U.S. House Rep Adam Kinzinger (IL) fell for a hoax last week as he tweeted support for the “Ghost of Kyiv.”
The only problem was that it turned out to be a photoshopped viral meme in support of comedian Sam Hyde.
Kinzinger declared in the now-deleted tweet, “The #ghostofkyiv has a name, and he has absolutely OWNED the Russian Airforce. Godspeed and more kills, Samuyil!”
Tucker Carlson lectured Kinzinger in a segment tonight highlighting the faux pas from the Congressman who has declined to run for re-election.
In a clip posted in a tweet by The Columbia Bugle, Carlson began, “Just the other day, Kinzinger posted images on Twitter of a Ukrainian ace called the ‘Ghost of Kyiv.’ He downed Russian Migs left and right.”
“Well it turns out the whole thing was a hoax, but of course, Adam Kinzinger had no idea because he knows nothing,” Carlson continued.
Carlson then read off what Kinzinger said in the tweet and stressed, “Imagine, a sitting member of Congress tweeting about a war like it’s a cable news segment.”
“‘We absolutely OWNED the Russian Airforce.’ Really? Get some respect, people are dying buffoon,” Carlson lectured.
After pointing out who Sam Hyde is, Carlson concluded, “These are the people pushing us towards a new world war.”
