Tucker Carlson Sarcastically Vows to Take Pete Buttigieg ‘Very, Very Seriously’ After Back and Forth Over Paternity Leave

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson was recently critical of “spineless” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg taking paternity leave while there is currently a crisis involving transportation.

On Thursday, Carlson said “Pete Buttigieg has been on leave from his job since August after adopting a child. Paternity leave, they call it, trying to figure out how to breastfeed. No word on how that went.”

In an MSNBC interview, Buttigieg responded, “I guess he just doesn’t understand the concept of bottle feeding, let alone the concept of paternity leave.”

Carlson hit back at Buttigieg on yesterday’s show and said, “Last night on this show we made a brief, offhand joke about the Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, and this morning we discovered our error.”

“It turns out that Buttigieg is not a dwarfish fraud whose utter mediocrity indicts the class that produced him. No, not at all,” Carlson explained.

Then, sarcastically, Carlson added, “Pete Buttigieg was once the mayor of South Bend, Indiana. So understandably, going forward, we are under strict orders from the Biden administration to take Pete Buttigieg very, very seriously,” he sarcastically added. “And of course we will. Our mistake.”

Liberals have predictably freaked out about the whole thing, dropping every buzz word imaginable to describe Carlson.

Verified Twitter user Mike Sington summed up their feelings in a tweet where he claimed, “Not only is Tucker Carlson a liar, conspiracy theorist, and white supremacist, he’s also a homophobe.”

“Here he mocks Pete Buttigieg, saying he’s on paternity leave, ‘trying to figure out how to breastfeed’. How does his show still have advertisers? Who are they?” Sington wondered.
