Anheuser-Busch Officially Disavows Dylan Mulvaney Campaign Amid Heightened Backlash and Damage Control

Neither Fox News nor Anheuser Busch is likely to go bankrupt or go out of business. I think that is the obvious takeaway from the Tucker Carlson – Bud Light backlash from conservatives that are separately underway, yet seem to be charged by the same energy from angry right-wingers, mostly supporters of Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson, although they are two very different people and two very different boycott campaigns.

Often, such as with the NFL, conservative boycott campaigns fail to make a dent. However, as we can see with Fox News ratings and Bud Light sales, boycotts are doing enough to make corporations feel the pain.

As is the case with Bud Light, Anheuser Busch has felt pressure from both the right and the left. The behemoth alcoholic beverage maker was really left with three overall major options for going forward. The options in our opinion, as we are an opinion news outlet that leans right, admittedly, are as follows:

  • Stay the course.
  • Apologize to the left and transgender activists and double down on the campaign to normalize transgenderism.
  • Apologize to the right and disavow the Mulvaney campaign and try and get back to business as usual.

According to the Daily Mail, Bud Light is completely disavowing the operation that was “just one can”.

CEO Michel Doukeris has said that misinformation has rapidly spread on the internet about what has really happened. He has said that the company is supporting distributors who are affected by this boycott. One major talking point from the Daily Mail story is:

Bosses of Anheuser-Busch claim that the partnership with Mulvaney was ‘not a formal campaign or advertisement’

The CEO told investors:

‘We need to clarify the facts that this was one camp, one influencer, one post and not a campaign.

‘We will continue to learn, meet the moment in time, all be stronger and we work tirelessly to do what we do best: Bring people together over a beer and creating a future of more cheers.’

As we have reported before:

Stay tuned for more possible updates as we are able to provide them. One question left to be answered: will leftists now boycott the brand/brands as well? Or will they continue to post images of themselves awkwardly consuming Bud Ligh like U.S. House Rep Ted Lieu (R-CA) and friends have done?
