With a migrant surge of thousands on thousands of people pouring into the country, there has been a crisis created by the Biden Administration with their refusal to enforce immigration policies from the previous administration resulting in a massive surge of illegal crossings on the southern border.
Now it is being reported that the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas suggested restarting the construction of the border wall on the southern border in order to fill in “gaps” following the administration halting border wall construction.
“BREAKING: Biden’s DHS may restart construction on the U.S.-Mexico border wall to fill any “gaps” in the current barrier, says DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.”

It seems many illegal aliens are pouring into this country every day through wide-open areas and climbing over old fences which are in need of rebuilding. Now because of this, the Biden Administration could potentially restart the construction of Trump’s southern border wall.
Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said, “The president has communicated quite clearly his decision that the emergency that triggered the devotion of DOD funds to the construction of the border wall is ended. But that leaves room to make decisions as the administration, as part of the administration, in particular areas of the wall that need renovation, particular projects that need to be finished,”.
While there would most likely be no new construction of the wall, they would fill in the “gaps” which in their eyes need to be finished. If they were to do this, it would make sense for them to fill in all the “gaps” which many believe is the entire southern border however it would be hard to see the Biden Admin building a sizeable amount of wall if any.
This would certainly trigger a reaction from the far-left section of the Democratic Party like AOC and others who believe there should be no wall and the existing one should be torn down. After just about two months, the Biden Administration could be resorting to building the wall like former President Donald Trump wanted to do and did.
We will have to see if Biden listens to Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas or if he cowards away to avoid pushback from his party.
