Biden Contradicts His Attacks on Trump, Will Ban Most Travel From India Due to Coronavirus Outbreak There

President Joe Biden is set to ban most travel from current COVID-19 hotspot India as they continue to get hit-hard from the COVID-19 pandemic after attacking Trump for doing a similar thing when the Coronavirus pandemic began.

In January of 2020, with the Coronavirus pandemic starting in China, then-candidate Joe Biden attacked then-President Donald Trump for stopping all travel from China.

Biden said on the campaign trail, “We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency.”

A month in a half later on March 12th, 2020, he defended his position on Twitter saying, “A wall will not stop the coronavirus. Banning all travel from Europe — or any other part of the world — will not stop it. This disease could impact every nation and any person on the planet — and we need a plan to combat it.”

Now that Joe Biden is managing the COVID-19 pandemic, he is making the same decision as he has noticed India has become a hotspot for COVID-19 and is trying to act in good faith in the interests of the people.

However, when Trump did that he was ridiculed by Joe Biden and called unsettling names. This was pointed out when reported on.

“JUST IN – Biden to ban flights from India to the United States. Biden said that Trump had a “record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering,” at the time the former president announced travel restrictions from China.”

Although most would say Biden is making the right decision here as no one wants COVID to spread from India into America, he has appeared as a hypocrite for doing the same thing as Trump. When former President Trump did it, it was apparently “xenophobic” but Joe Biden is not called anything for doing the same to India.
