Brian Kilmeade, Lara Trump Mock Washington Post Report on Possible Nuclear Documents at Mar-a-Lago

Leftists tonight believe they have a smoking gun as the Washington Post has reported that the FBI was attempting to possibly recover nuclear documents during their raid at Mar-a-Lago.

On Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” however, Brian Kilmeade and Lara Trump mocked the report ultimately.

Kilmeade is currently guest hosting for Carlson and in a clip, after reading off the report, Kilmeade asked Trump, “Did you see any nuclear reports at the Mar-a-Lago club, maybe around the pool? By the lifeguard stand?”

Trump smiled and quipped, “Yeah, no, not disseminated freely at Mar-a-Lago. Of course not.”

“I think it’s a mystery to a lot of people, what could possibly rise to the level of not taking a bit of a different approach and instead raiding the former president’s home?” Trump wondered.

Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a statement today on the raid, although he didn’t mention any nuclear documents at the time.

Ahead of his remarks, a White House official told CBS News that the White House did not know in advance that Garland would be delivering a statement, and officials learned of it through news reports.

The Justice Department moved today to unseal the search warrant used by federal agents to seize documents from and Garland revealing he “personally approved” the extraordinary step to seek the warrant.

Whether the report is accurate or not, time will tell and if it is found not to be as serious or accurate as claimed, it will be interesting to see how the left will walk this back.

Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Charles Booker wasted no time attempting to capitalize on the report as he tweeted, “The FBI feared Donald Trump took classified documents relating to nuclear weapons, and Rand Paul supported him. This is what’s on the line in November.”

As we previously reported, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) voiced his opposition to the raid that was carried out at Mar-a-Lago, and in a tweet, he referenced the FBI director Christopher Wray, who was appointed by Donald Trump in 2017.
