Shockingly, Fox News parted ways with Tucker Carlson today. Don Lemon also has departed from CNN as well. CNN has disputed Lemon’s version of how it went down.
Meanwhile, former CNN reporter Brian Stelter claimed somehow that the networks didn’t plan the major departure announcements to come on the same day. It’s unclear to Media Right News how Stelter knows that information.
Many question if Fox News let Carlson go due to comments he made on Covid-19 vaccines, foreign policy opinions, or January 6th investigations. It’s clear to all that Carlson had unique opinions on all these topics.
Then there’s the lawsuit settlement against Fox News by Dominion that may have been at play. Twitter is buzzing about all this news. One person, among others, looked to new Twitter owner Elon Musk for help and guidance to a degree:
“Elon Musk should hire Tucker Carlson and start a video service to compete with YouTube”
Musk, although disagreeing to hiring Carlson, implied that anyone can thrive and make money and get views directly on Twitter, as long as they don’t give him legal reason to censor. His direct quote:
“Or we don’t hire anyone, but simply enable content creators to prosper on this platform without applying censorship that goes beyond the law”
It’s hard to imagine a future without Tucker Carlson leading the ratings for cable news. Time will tell what happens next.
Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly teased an interesting episode on News Nation tonight with former CNN reporter Chris Cuomo of all people, and many may watch to see if there are opinions about today’s news.
“Watch @NewsNation tonight at 8 PM ET, where I’ll go one-on-one with @ChrisCuomo. To find @NewsNation go to http://newsnationnow.com/joinus #AD”
O’Reilly added:
“All hell breaking loose in the media world over Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon. Extensive talking points on the @NoSpinNews beginning at six. I will analyze on @NewsNation at 8 with @ChrisCuomo. @glennbeck radio tomorrow at noon.”
“Apparently, Tucker Carlson is leaving Fox News. We’ll analyze tonight on the @NoSpinNews, http://BillOReilly.com has it.”
Clearly lawsuits left and right are upending the world as we know it while free speech is in jeopardy in our view. Could another network pickup Carlson? Time will tell. Musk also tweeted recently:
