As Democrats try to brand the House Judiciary Committee hearing into crime in New York as a show in defense of former President Donald Trump, U.S. House Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) took a shot at Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan.
Swalwell tweeted:
“Jim Jordan didn’t have to go to New York to find crime. While Jim was playing Trump lawyer (without passing the bar), police were working to solve a weekend murder in his hometown.”
Swalwell it seems was trying to make a point that crime happens everywhere. He failed to grasp the concept that while crime does happen everywhere, it seems to be somewhat unchecked in New York City.
Many of those who testified before the committee shared their stories of being victims of crime and how the Manhattan D.A.’s office handled the cases after the crime. Those who testified felt that justice wasn’t served and that Alvin Bragg mishandled the cases to be soft on those perpetrating the crime.
The mother of a retired Army Veteran who was murdered in Harlem, Madeline Brame, shared that the case that was handed to Bragg’s office was solid and ready for court when he took office. She alleges that when Bragg got ahold of the case everything came unraveled.
He reportedly lessened the charges two of the four assailants faced. The murder of her son was caught on camera and she couldn’t believe he was going to go soft on two of the four who were responsible for her son’s death.
She shared that one of them was walking the streets of Harlem today and could snap at any moment in her view.
While Democrats like Swalwell and U.S. House Rep. Adam Schiff (CA) try to deflect and share they believe it’s all about Trump, they fail to notice those who have been hurt by Bragg’s soft on crime policies.

They counted the dems mentioning President Trump 24 times when the meeting had nothing to do with President Trump.
