FBI Conducts ‘Court-Authorized’ Law Enforcement Activity at Texas Dem Congressman’s House

According to multiple reports, the FBI is conducting “court-authorized” law enforcement activity at the house of Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX).

Reporter Valerie Gonzalez is on the scene and has tweeted pictures of the agents and provided commentary on visibly what is happening.

“FBI still present at the home of Rep. Henry Cuellar’s in Laredo,” Gonzalez said in an initial tweet.

Gonzalez then reported that “Agents are still in and around the home. Some more showed up a few moments ago.”

“Can’t see what’s happening inside but some agents came outside with a clipboard and camera to snap pics of the two trucks out front,” Gonzalez noted.

Gonzalez also said, “Not sure if anyone is home, but the dogs are watching.”

“All calls to the congressman’s office, cellphone and campaign manager have gone to voicemail,” Gonzalez added.

Today has been a tough one for Cuellar prior to this situation as it was announced that the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) endorsed Cuellar’sRepublican opponent, Casandra “Cassy” Garcia, for his House seat after supporting the Democrat in the 2020 election.

In the previous election, when the NBPC endorsed Cuellar, the congressman used the Council’s backing in a campaign ad, Law Enforcement Endorsement, to highlight and promote all of the law enforcement endorsements he had obtained from the NBPC and other police and firefighter associations, Breitbart pointed out.

Cuellar is also facing a primary from progressive Jessica Cisneros and it is possible that they don’t believe he will come out of that the winner.

Garcia is also the former deputy state director for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and a presidential appointee of former President Donald Trump, however.

Either way, this is likely to make their decision look a lot better and things look a lot more tenuous for Cuellar’s re-election, depending on the outcome of the activity.
