Peter Doocy Grills Jen Psaki on Biden’s 1983 Anti-Court Packing Rant Vs. Apparent Support for it Now

Fox News’ Peter Doocy, who is a frequent critic of Joe Biden and his administration, pointed out apparent hypocrisy from him during the White House press briefing today. Doocy mentioned, that Biden claimed in 1983 while he was in the U.S. Senate that court-packing was “a bonehead idea when FDR tried it.”

“Doocy Time!!! Peter Doocy asks Jen Psaki about why would President Biden launch a commission to look at expanding the Supreme Court when, back in 1983, he said doing so was “a bonehead idea when FDR tried it.”

Adding more justices to the Supreme Court or as some call it “Court-Packing” was an issue in which former President Donald Trump pressed Joe Biden on during the 2020 Presidential debates last fall but Biden refused to give the American voters an answer on it as he didn’t want to frustrate the far-left or the moderates.

Now Biden launched a commission to look at expanding the Supreme Court which many on the left have called for following the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett last fall, Democrats have seeming suggested adding more justices as revenge for pushing through a Supreme Court justice so close to the election.

With Democrats controlling Congress and the White House, there is a slight chance that this could become a reality though the Democrats’ have to get Moderates in the party like Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) to go along with it.

Now that Biden doesn’t have to answer to voters, he has contradicted his previous statements on adding more Supreme Court justices as in 1983 he said, “It was a bonehead idea, it was a terrible, terrible mistake to make, and it put in question for an entire decade the independence of the most significant body including the Congress in my view, the most significant body in this country. The Supreme court of the United States of America.”

Now after about forty years Biden apparently thinks it is no longer a bonehead idea to investigate into adding more justices and Peter Doocy rightfully called out his flip-flop on the issue.

This is an important question to ask and one that needs to be answered, but this could stop Doocy from getting called on in the future.
