Fox Sportscaster Gets Lambasted after Poor Take Tweet On Postponement of Bills vs Bengals

Skip Bayless, co-host of FOX Sports Undisputed, choose a poor way (in the opinion of many) to express his thoughts on the postponement of the Bills vs Bengals game after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after making a tackle.

Bayless tweeted:

“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”

Too much pontificating in his tweet instead led many to call for Bayless to delete his tweet. Bayless’s tweet almost sounds as if he is rationalizing a reason for the NFL to continue the game. While they did eventually postpone the game for a later date it took them some time.

Fox Business contributor David Gokhshtein shared, “Skip — Delete this sh*t,” a sentiment many others also shared.

With so many individuals coming after Bayless for his tweet, instead of deleting the poor take, he instead decided to “explain” what he intended in his tweet. He also apologized if his message was “misunderstood,” adding that he was praying for Damar.

“Nothing is more important than that young man’s health. That was the point of my last tweet. I’m sorry if that was misunderstood but his health is all that matters. Again, everything else is irrelevant. I prayed for him & will continue to.”

FOX News contributor Jimmy Failla had some advice for Bayless and anyone else that wasn’t praying for Demar.

“PRO TIP: if you’re not tweeting prayers for Demar, you shouldn’t be tweeting about it at all.”

Currently, Damar is in Critical condition at the hospital he was taken to after his collapse. We are praying for his recovery and wish him the best.
