U.S. Republican Congressman Fred Keller, who represents Pennsylvania’s 12th district, railed against Joe Biden over his apparent hypocrisy.
“We heard the president stand here and talk about ‘buy American, made American.’ Well, we can’t do that without American energy.”

Keller said, “We can’t build American infrasuture without American energy, and to unleash that energy, the Biden administration needs to start listening to the people, needs to trust in the energy producers.” He continued on saying that the United States produces energy more cleanly than “any other nation on the face of the earth”.
He later said, “We do not want to enrich people who want to do harm to us or our allies.” This comes as Biden banned Russian imports of oil to the U.S. and some in his administration have suggested they purchase oil from other countries like Saudi Arabia or Venezuela.
Some have pointed out the clear problem with this “strategy”. Both Saudi Arabia and Venezuela are not good counties nor do they like the United States. By purchasing this oil, we would be helping them grow rich.
This underlying fact has led many angry and fed-up Americans to demand that the U.S. re-gain its energy independence and start producing more oil on our soil as we did under former President Trump. However, Biden has seemed to decline that avenue over fears of angering the environmentalists, in our view. If Americans can’t afford $5 gasoline, they certainly can’t afford a $50,000 Tesla.
As the Russian-Ukraine war continues, gas prices continue higher. Many are arguing about what is causing it or whether it is a combination of factors including sanctions on Russian oil, inflation, and left-wing oil policies, although many left-leaning “fact-checkers” continue to “debunk” the latter.
