GOP House Rep. Louie Gohmert Announces Intentions to Object During Count of Electoral College Votes

Yesterday, we reported that Texas GOP House Rep. Louie Gohmert was among 18 Republican Congressional representatives who signed a letter to both Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and other people on committee chairs.

The letter requested election fraud hearings before the January 6th counting of the electoral college votes, although it appears unlikely such hearings will occur.

Today, OAN reported that Gohmert stated, “…We should NOT be electing Presidents with overwhelmingly fraudulent votes. And so, we do intend to object…”

Gohmert predicts that there will be a debate in Congress on Jan. 6th during the validation process.

Georgia Republican Congresswoman-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene welcomed the news and said, “God Bless Texas and God Bless Louie! Glad to have you on board. #FightForTrump”

In order for there to be a debate, a senator would have to object as well. Alabama Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville appeared poised to join the effort after recent comments but now it’s reported that he may be waffling.

America First supporter Lauren Witzke was not impressed with his uncertainty and blasted Tuberville in a tweet.

“Hey Tommy Tuberville, perhaps President Trump should have waffled on his endorsement of you during your primary. You know.. the one you wouldn’t have won without him carrying you across the finish line? We don’t forget,” Witzke said.
