Illegal Immigrants Burglarize Weapons and Ammo From Texas Ranch House Before Trump’s Border Visit

A group of three illegal immigrants was taken into custody after United States Border Patrol agents obtained them following their burglarizing of a ranch house in Sierra Blanca, TX. Following a search of the illegals, two loaded handguns, ammunition, food, and clothing were found.

In a statement released by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Big Bend Sector Chief Patrol Agent Sean L. McGoffin said:

“Through extensive training, our Border Patrol Agents are always prepared and ready to respond to various scenarios.  Without hesitation, these agents responded to the ranch house and safely secured the location, the stolen weapons and the undocumented non-citizens. With the presence of weapons in the wrong hands, this situation could have turned violent; fortunately, our agents were able to control the encounter and bring it to a peaceful resolution.”

The illegal immigrants were taken into the custody of the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office and could face state charges for trespassing and theft of property.

The statement released by the CBP also included an image of the illegal immigrants with their weapons.

The city of Sierra Blanca is a mere 20 miles Northeast of the Mexico border. The southern border crisis has been in the limelight this year. Many Republicans are calling for Biden to step up and adjust his immigration policies to prevent mass illegal immigration from occurring. CBP reports estimate almost 930,000 illegal immigrant encounters have occurred at the southern border since January with 180,000 of those being encountered in May.

Former President Donald Trump visited the US-Mexico border, along with some of Texas’ most prominent legislators. During a news conference at the Department of Public Safety’s Weslaco headquarters, Trump said, “We have an open, really dangerous border. We better go back fast.”
