Independence Day Hero Randy Quaid Has Seen Enough, Says He Will Run For California Governor Himself

Transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner recently announced that she was going to run as the Republican against Democrat Gavin Newsom in the upcoming recall election. This comes after activists against Newsom secured enough signatures to recall Newsom, the former husband of Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Many Republicans are unsure of Jenner’s run. Others are reportedly running as well. We reported on the Jenner story here.

While we’re not sure if it has anything to do with Caitlyn, Quaid has definitely seen enough in general, and is throwing his hat in the ring according to a tweet, although we’re not sure if he’s officially filed yet.

Quaid tweeted:

“Threat of cancellation has become a reality for all Californians. As Governor I will take action to END Big Tech’s un-American, selective bias. Big Tech is a service provider, a tool for the people of California. Californians will not be a tool for Big Tech!”

Time will tell if he officially files or if this is a publicity stunt, but Quaid definitely genuine in his politics and a big Trump supporter. The mess that is California will be hard to clean up and Quaid would probably be just as good as anyone to do it at this point in time.

If Quaid does file, it’ll be interesting to see who gets the most support on the Republican side. Previously Quaid hinted that he may run against U.S. House Rep Adam Schiff as well. He said specifically of that potential run that he “has experience emptying human waste”.
