Kevin McCarthy Introduces Resolution to Censure Maxine Waters for Her ‘Dangerous Comments’

Monday Minority House leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) introduced a resolution to censure Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) for her ‘dangerous comments’ she made this weekend while speaking to a crowd in Minnesota.

“This weekend in Minnesota, Maxine Waters broke the law by violating curfew and then incited violence. Speaker Pelosi is ignoring Waters’ behavior—that’s why I am introducing a resolution to censure Rep. Waters for these dangerous comments.”

Earlier McCarthy had released a statement proclaiming his intension to censure Repetitive Waters. “This weekend in Minnesota, Maxine Waters broke the law by violating curfew and then incited violence. Increased unrest has already led to violence against law enforcement and her comments intentionally poured fuel on the fire. We’ve heard this type of violent rhetoric from Waters before, and the United States Congress must clearly and without reservation reprimand this behavior before more people get hurt. But Speaker Pelosi is ignoring Water’s behavior. That’s why I am introducing a resolution to censure Rep. Waters for these dangerous comments, and I hope that all my colleagues both Republican and Democrat will stand up for peace on America’s Streets.”

Earlier today the Judge in the Derek Chauvin case commented on the remarks Representative Waters made eluding that she may have given the defense grounds for an appeal which we reported earlier:

“The jury in the Derek Chauvin Trial has been sequestered and is now deliberating their decision. Fox News Anchor Harris Faulkner tweeted, “Woah. #BREAKING Judge in #DerekChauvinTrial just told the Defense Attorney: “I’ll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned.” #MaxineWaters“.

“The judge denied the defense’s request for a mistrial. However, now he has taken the time to slam Maxine Waters for her comments, which some have seen as inciting violence. The judge called them abhorrent and disrespectful to the rule of law and the judicial branch and our function.”

We will see if Pelosi takes this to the floor for a vote or if she does anything at all with Waters. Many see the words that Maxine Waters used should bee see and inciting violence.
