Democrat AG Dana Nessel threatened to ban President Trump from Michigan if he refused to wear a mask on a tour of a Ford plant. He didn’t wear one during much of the tour and so said that she would say that he is no longer welcome in the state.
She appeared on CNN after the event and said that it was “extremely disappointing” and “speaking on behalf of her office, that’s right” when asked “is the president no longer welcome in Michigan?”

In the appearance, Nessel called Trump a “petulant child” and said that the situation is “not a joke.” She took to her twitter to solicit donations for because she said that she cares about the safety of Michiganders and he does not.

CBS White House correspondent Weijia Jiang reported that he said, “I wore one before, but I didn’t want to give the press the pleasure of seeing it.” She made sure to share a picture of him not wearing a mask as soon as she could on Twitter and acted like it was a big reveal.
On his decision to go maskless: “I wore one before,” the President said. “But I didn’t want to give the press the pleasure of seeing it.”

Mr. Trump said at one point during the tour he also wore goggles.
