Nine Inch Nails Lead Singer Throws Temper Tantrum, Claims he Will Not Post on Twitter Because of ‘Billionaire Class’

Trent Reznor added to the celebrities that have departed from Twitter.

Reznor told Billboard about his departure saying, “I’m about to depart. We don’t need the arrogance of the billionaire class to feel like they can just come in and solve everything. Even without him involved, I just find that it has become such a toxic environment. For my mental health, I need to tune out. I don’t feel good being there anymore.”

Reznor had a 1.6 million following on Twitter but has made up his mind he had to go. Reznor has quit Twitter before and come back previously, but he may be gone for good with Twitter’s new CEO.

Reznor worked on the music for the movie about Facebook, “The Social Network”. It seems like many, he has a love-hate relationship with social media.

Reznor said during an interview in 2010, “I think the whole aspect of social networking is vulgar and repulsive in a lot of ways. But I also see why it’s appealing – I’ve had that little high you get from posting stuff online. But then you think, ‘Did I need to say that?’ I’ve explored that enough to know to stay kind of quiet these days.”

The change in leadership seems to be an excuse for Reznor to jump off. Many other celebrities are doing just the same, we will see how long they stay away.

Elon Musk just recently reactive former President Trump’s Twitter account which has caused many to express their displeasure with the actions, while others applaud the move by Musk.

Since his takeover of Twitter, Musk seems to have driven up engagement with what he has rolled out so far.
