Pelosi’s SOTU Guest Removed for Disruption in House Gallery Apologizes

The guest of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) who disrupted President Trump’s State of the Union Address has recently apologized for his outburst. The guest was Fred Guttenberg who is the father of a Parkland shooting victim. According to the New York Post, “[He] was booted from President Trump’s State of the Union address after shouting from the gallery about gun control. The man, Fred Guttenberg, made the brief interruption after Trump vowed to ‘always protect your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.'” 

In a tweet, Guttenberg apologized for his behavior, “I disrupted the State Of The Union and was detained because I let my emotions get the best of me.  I simply want to be able to deal with the reality of gun violence and not have to listen to the lies about the 2A as happened tonight.” View the other piece of his statement below:

The official White House website published a statement referencing Trump’s devotion to protecting American freedoms and promoting American values. He says, “Standing up for America’s Constitutional Rights: President Trump is a strong champion and defender of Americans’ First and Second Amendment rights. The President has made clear that he will always stand up for Americans’ Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms.”
