Democratic Representative Cori Bush from Missouri, reportedly spent over $30,000 of taxpayer money on private security according to her April Quarterly records. Once a quarter, the U.S. House outs out a Statement of Disbursments that details, “all receipts and expenditures for U.S. House of Representatives Members, Committees, Leadership, Officers and Offices.”
Bush’s records report her spending up to $7,743.75 on security for one day of private security. The Daily Caller itemized a whole list of her security spending:

The irony of Bush’s spending is that she has consistently called for a defunding of the police force. Rep. Bush even attacked former President Barack Obama because he never pushed to defund the police.
With all due respect, Mr. President—let’s talk about losing people. We lost Michael Brown Jr. We lost Breonna Taylor. We’re losing our loved ones to police violence.

It’s not a slogan. It’s a mandate for keeping our people alive. Defund the police. https://t.co/Wsxp1Y1bBi
Bush consistently tweets out her support for the defunding of the police.
My heart feels as if it’s breaking into a thousand pieces—again.

Defund. The. Police.
If Bush truly feels that the police is unnecessary in our society and that one can feel safe without them, why does she spend what most people strive to make in one year, in 4 months of personal security? Is Rep. Bush just grifting off the growing sentiment that is pro defunding of the police, pro BLM and pro ACAB? Or does she truly believe in what she claims to be fighting for?
