Reps Marjorie Taylor Greene and Marie Newman Display Competing Messages in Congressional Hallway Regarding Stance on Controversial ‘Equality’ Bill

Freshman GOP Congresswoman and avid Trump Supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) fired back against Democratic Rep. Marie Newman (D-IL) by putting up a sign saying, “There are only two genders. Male and female. Trust the science.” Below is her video published on Twitter from Wednesday night.

The feud started when Greene tried to block the passing of the “equality act” which Democrats believe furthers the equality between those who are transgender and those who are not. Though her objections did fail and she has received pushback from Congressional Democrats for her trying to stop the bill.

Her office is right beside Democratic Rep. Newman’s office and Newman decided to put a transgender flag right outside her office so Greene would have to see it every day. Newman published a short video on Twitter showing her putting the flag there and turning to the camera and wiping her hands.

Greene responded later by putting up a sign on her wall saying, “There are only two genders. Male and female.” and underneath it said, “Follow the science.” she replicated the video Rep. Newman did and turned to the camera and wiped her hands with a smile after she put it up.

Greene remains one of the most controversial figures in Congress as she has already been stripped of her committee assignments after being in Congress for only a month. She has been prone to fighting with other members of Congress like Rep. Bush (D-MO) who yelled at Greene and caused a Twitter war.

Yet again Greene is standing up for what she believes in as she has done since she has entered Congress.

Greene attacked the equality act saying, “As mothers, we all love and support our children. But your biological son does NOT belong in my daughters’ bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports teams.”

Greene’s strong opposition to the equality act is what has brought on attacks from the Democrats like Newman though Greene is refusing to back down for what she believes in and is fighting back. Maybe the GOP could learn a lesson from this woman.
