Vivek Ramaswamy announced he is running for President of the United States on “Tucker Carlson Tonight”.
Carlson asked for the bullet points of what he will be telling people as he campaigns for president. Ramaswamy’s first point is immigration. He wants more people “like his parents” to come to the United States, based on merit. Those who come to the United States by immediately breaking the law by coming illegally should be a “hard no” he shared.
Many America First conservatives believe the United States needs a moratorium on immigration for at least the next ten years. This includes those who come legally including those who apply based on merit.
The southern border has been wide open since Joe Biden took office. The Federation for American Immigration Reform there were 5.5 million migrants encountered at our southern border that came into the country illegally since Biden took over.
Only recently has Biden’s administration made any attempt at hindering the invasion at the southern border.
Ramaswamy also shared he wants to get rid of affirmative action calling it “cancer”.
He went on to say “putting America First means we have to first rediscover what America is… rediscover that national identity that we all share”. He also wants to do away with the federal bureaucracy and make those elected actually run the country.
He concluded his pitch by calling for a revival of America. Carlson then asked him to come back often.
Tucker then asked for clarification on what he sees as the biggest threat, China or the war in eastern Europe. Ramaswamy absolutely believes it is China, he earlier called for America to decouple itself from China’s cheap goods. “The economic co-dependent relationship has to end,” he added.
We will see what comes of Ramaswamy’s announcement going forward.
