Famous citizen journalist Brendan Gutenshwager is reporting on Twitter via multiple short video clips that riots are breaking out in residential neighborhoods in Chicago, IL. This is due to a reported police-involved shooting that allegedly left a teenage boy tragically dead.
The details on that shooting remain unclear to us at this hour, although there is clearly enough evidence out there for people to know that they want to riot. Gutenshwager reports that the boy’s name was Adam Toledo and that he was 13. In one of the videos, rioters can be heard yelling “F___ 12!” over and over, 12 meaning “the police”.
This is another instance in which the radical leftists elected today are still not even radical enough for many activists out there today. This isn’t to minimize the tragic death that is related to this incident, but just to highlight that this is an inappropriate action/reaction situation in our view that affects innocent residents in their homes. We recently reported that even former radical left-wing President Barack Obama isn’t left enough for some activists these days.
Previous situations have occurred like this in Portland, Oregon as well, where radical leftist Mayor Ted Wheeler was, for Black Lives Matter and Antifa, still far too right on the political spectrum.

One self-proclaimed leftist lamented that, even though rioters were tormenting residents in their neighborhood, there weren’t even more people. The Twitter user mused that perhaps because Joe Biden is now the president, Democrats are not as angry.
This lends credence, if true, to the possibility that many of last summer’s riots were only in part due to the reasons they claimed they were rioting. A lot of the anger from liberals over the last couple of years was, in our view, simply due to the fact that Donald Trump was the president between 2017 and 2021.
Many might go as far as to say prominent Democrats encouraged such behavior prior to the controversial 2020 election that was hugely affected because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which changed the way many people voted. Now Vice President Kamala Harris even promoted a fund that was used to bail rioters out of jail last year.
Prominent Democrats like Harris and others made some, but very little distinction that “protests” should only ever be peaceful. This is because, in our view anyway, riots give the left political power and leverage. But others may disagree with our opinion on that matter.
It has been reported that the video of the police shooting will be released no later than 60 days, and possibly next week. We will update you on this tragic situation as it unfolds.
