Spotify Chooses Joe Rogan Over Neil Young After his ‘Woke’ Temper Tantrum as Demand to Remove his Songs Has Been Obliged

Spotify appears to have sided with Joe Rogan after it took off all of Neil Young’s music down following the musician’s complaints about Rogan’s podcast.

“JUST IN – Neil Young’s music will be removed from Spotify after objecting to Joe Rogan’s podcast.”

Young wrote a letter to his manager and label, requesting that they remove his music from Spotify in protest for Spotify allowing Joe Rogan, the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience”, to have a platform for his podcast. Young accused Rogan of spreading vaccine misinformation. He wrote, “I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines—potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them.”

Later, he said that Spotify can only have one of them on the platform, “They can have Rogan or Young. Not both.” They chose the more popular Joe Rogan who has become spotlighted in the public eye recently for his stance on the Covid-19 vaccine.

A Spokesman for Spotify said, “We want all the world’s music and audio content to be available to Spotify users. With that comes great responsibility in balancing both safety for listeners and freedom for creators.” He continued, “We regret Neil’s decision to remove his music from Spotify, but hope to welcome him back soon.”

Following his exodus from Spotify, he leaves behind his 2.4 million followers and more than six million monthly listeners. Although conservatives may be happy about this decision, Spotify did ban former President Donald Trump in January of 2021 along with the other big tech platforms.

Many have never heard about Neil Young, as this controversy seems to be the first time many are hearing of him. Due to his appeared stubbornness in being on Spotify with Rogan, he may now lose even more of his “fans”.

“Neil Young, who has 6,057,481 monthly listeners, thinks he has the influence to bring down Joe Rogan, who has 200 million people listening monthly.”
