Thousands of Arizona America First Conservatives Rally for President Donald Trump Over the Weekend

Over the weekend, and into Monday night, thousands of Trump supporters descended upon the Arizona State Capitol and the downtown Phoenix Hyatt Regency where Republican Governor Doug Ducey eventually certified Arizona’s vote; thereby giving the state and its electors to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Ducey certified the vote in light of widespread claims of voter fraud, ballot counting improprieties, and statistical anomalies which many experts have claimed make it nearly impossible for Biden to have fairly won the state. At this point, the claims of the ballot improprieties and widespread election fraud are well understood by the public, with Politico reporting that currently, over 70% of registered Republicans do not believe that this was a “fair and free election,” and 15% of registered Democrats believing the same.

While it remains important to continue to monitor the challenges brought President Trump and his legal team in the 6 key swing states (Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan) an important, and if you are the GOP a troublesome, the trend is beginning to emerge: The GOP’s voting base is becoming increasingly infuriated at its party’s, and its institutions, lack of support for President Trump.

Conservative pundits and social media influencers, many of whom before this election were considered “fringe” or “beyond the pale” by mainstream conservatives were in attendance over the weekend in Phoenix and were met with much fanfare and intrigue by audiences that previously did not have any exposure to their content.

Nicholas J. Fuentes, host of the online political commentary show called America First, gave several speeches at the capitol and at the Hyatt, drew a crowd of around 1,000 people at the capitol, and drew similar numbers at the Hyatt Regency. Newsmax host, best selling author, and previous Fox News contributor Michelle Malkin gave a powerful speech on Monday morning at the Hyatt. Conservative social media influencer and organizer of the Stop the Steal rallies across the country Ali Alexander was in attendance and spoke as well.

The messaging in many of their speeches had a similar theme: If the GOP will not fight for Donald Trump, then its voters will no longer dutifully vote for the GOP as they have in decades past. Several of the speeches were centered around questioning the loyalty of many of America’s most popular conservative commentators, with chants during Nick Fuentes’ speech breaking out saying, “Turn off Fox! Turn off Fox!,” after Fox, the largest conservative media outlet in the country routinely either not showing Trump’s press conferences at all, or being infamously interrupted and censored by hosts such as Neil Cavuto.

Chants directed against Republican politicians themselves were very common as well with the mention of Republican Governor Brian Kemp, and Republican Arizona Governor Doug Ducey being met with incredibly negative responses and loud booing.

The message was clear, and if the GOP is not listening to their base, they do so at their own demise. With over a 95% approval rating within the Republican Party, Donald Trump is the most popular president within the GOP arguably since Ronald Reagan. At the rallies, there was a sense among Trump’s voters that their party, their media outlets, their elected officials, and many of their favorite pundits had abandoned them, and sent a loud and clear message to the GOP that the Republican Party and its elected officials work for the people, not the other way around.

For a perfect example of this sentiment among the voting base, look no further than this clip from Rush Limbaugh’s daily show, during the call-in portion of his show. Listening to this clip should make one wonder what the future of the Republican Party holds if they cannot secure, or at least vigorously fight for, a second term for Trump:
