Gwen Luxemburg, partner of Trans swimmer Lia Thomas shared a picture of the infamous swimmer sporting a tank top that read “Antifa Super Soldier”.
Journalist Andy Ngo shared a screenshot of the image along with the following:
“#Trans swimmer Lia Thomas, formerly William Thomas, has now embraced the #Trantifa branding in new photos posted on social media. Trans violent militancy is the current focus of #Antifa. They believe that critics of trans ideology should be silenced, maimed or murdered. Some call for sexual violence against females in particular, as revenge.”
Thomas formerly known as William Thomas is well known for the switch made from men’s swimming to women’s in collegiate swimming. Thomas ranked #462 in men’s swimming but after starting to transition to a female identity Thomas jumped in the ratings in the women’s division and was ranked #1.
Thomas’s stark jump in the ranks brought much backlash as many see Thomas as having a biological advantage being born a male and now competing against biological females.
As Ngo pointed out Antifa is currently focused on Trans violent militancy which Thomas appears to support.
An ex-teammate of Thomas, Paula Scanlan, accused UPenn, which she and Thomas swam for, of “shutting down” any criticism about Thomas joining the women’s team in 2020. Many others have come out against what they view as unfair, letting transgenders participate in sports of their desired gender title.
Scanlan has recently come out publicly to speak out against Thomas and other biological males participating in women’s sports. You can see her conversation with Matt Walsh below:
While Thomas appears to support Antifa we will see if anything comes from this revelation.
