Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C. Sells for Whopping $375 Million Dollars to Miami Based Firm

Former President Donald Trump is set to sell his international hotel in Washington D.C. for a whopping $375 million dollars to a Miami-based firm.

“The Trump Organization is selling the rights to the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., for $375 million, people familiar with the matter said”

According to those close with the Trump organization, the hotel will be sold to CGI Merchant Group which is a firm in Miami, Florida. The hotel in D.C. is known to be luxurious as some can see by its dollar value and those who have stayed there will most likely agree.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic began in 2020 many hotels shut down or at least a limited capacity. Meanwhile, few people traveled and like many other hotels, the Trump hotel in D.C. lost revenue due to this.

In 2019, Donald Trump’s youngest son Eric Trump said this, “People are objecting to us making so much money on the hotel, and therefore we may be willing to sell.” Some leftists may have protested using anything that had to do with then-President Trump.

Trump properties have been the spot for many leftist protests including Black Lives Matter protests following the death of leftist icon and criminal George Floyd. Democrats rallied outside of Trump international hotel in the summer of 2020.

“Police officers stationed in front of the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. kneel in front of protesters amid wave of demonstrations over the death of George Floyd.”
