Two Californians Charged for Allegedly Submitting Thousands of Voter Registration Applications on Behalf of Homeless People

Two men from the state of California have been charged with a “41-count criminal complaint” for supposedly submitting thousands of fraudulent voter registration applications for homeless people.

This was announced by the LA county district attorney today.

Breaking 911 reported, “53-year-old Carlos Antonio De Bourbon Montenegro, aka Mark Anthony Gonsalves, and Marcos Raul Arevalo, 34, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit voter fraud, eight counts of voter fraud, four counts of procuring and offering a false or forged instrument and four misdemeanor counts of interference with a prompt transfer of a completed affidavit.”

It is reported that one of the men (Montenegro) submitted more than 8,000 fraudulent voter registration applications between July and October.

If convicted Montenegro could face a maximum of 15 years and 8 months in state prison. Arevalo, if convicted, could face up to seven years in prison.

The case remains under investigation and the District Attorney didn’t state which political party the two intended to help.

This does highlight another example of potential voter fraud as President Trump has been claiming happened across many states this election.
