Utah Gop May be Planning Censure of Mitt Romney for Being ‘Agent for the Establishment Deep State’

Once again, U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) has reminded Republicans of his anti-conservatism views. Former President Trump was acquitted again in his latest impeachment trial and, unfortunately, 7 “RINOs” like Romney voted in favor of impeaching the former president. However, within 24 hours of their votes being cast, a petition pushing to censure Romney started to gain popularity across Utah social media groups.

This censure makes some very bold, fiery accusations and claims against Senator Romney. “Senator Willard Mitt Romney has prioritized his personal and political vendetta against former President Donald J. Trump ahead of the Constitution of the United States, the interest of We, the
People, and the advancement of the Republican Platform.”

Time and time again, Romney has sided with the Democrats on many issues.

Romney was the only Republican to vote in favor of Trump’s impeachment in his first trial. Also, Romney helped shoot down Senator Rand Paul’s (R-KY) push to declare their entire impeachment process unconstitutional. This petition went as far as to group Romney with the Establishment Deep State: “Whereas, Senator Willard Mitt Romney appears to be an agent for the Establishment Deep State.”

It is clear that Republicans in the Utah GOP are fed up with what some see as “RINO grifters” like Mitt Romney. The Utah GOP recognizes that being a Republican and a Conservative means so much more than just supporting low taxes. As more RINOs like Romney are pushed out of the GOP, Republicans can return to being socially conservative and putting America first once again!
