It seems that Columbus Day can be generally “triggering” for many liberals and politically correct folks across the United States of America. While some people celebrate the history of Christopher Columbus’s discovery of the Americas, others see it as a horrifying thing.
Liberal Journalist David Leavitt was dismayed to see that Republican candidate for state Senate Tina Ramirez was celebrating history with a tweet she shared on Twitter.
The feud started when Ramirez said on Twitter, “Only women can be pregnant. Do I owe PayPal $2500 now?”
Leavitt responded to her the next day, which happened to be Columbus Day with, “Why are you celebrating torture, rape, murder, and enslavement?”

Ramirez’s reply is what sent Leavitt spiraling, “I teach my daughter real American history. I refuse to join the radical left’s campaign to erase history.”

Leavitt then called on his 300k+ followers for someone to call CPS on the state Senate hopeful for “teaching her child to be a racist”. He then got upset with the hold time with “14 callers ahead of” him, after asking over 300k people to call he didn’t consider that maybe some of them did as well?
The Virginia State hotline for child abuse has a 10+ minute hold and is experiencing “high call volumes” with 14 callers ahead of me.

As his wait time increased he updated Twitter and kept asking, “Why is there so much child abuse in Virginia? How many people try to report child abuse & hang up? How many children will continue to be abused?”

Ramirez was invited on “Jesse Watters Prime Time” to discuss the Twitter feud. Apparently, after an hour on hold, Leavitt gave up on reporting the “abuse” and hung up.
Nothing has come from Leavitt’s apparent temper tantrum. Ramirez has been reassured nothing will come of this.
Ramirez also told Fox News, “This so-called ‘journalist’ obviously doesn’t understand who he picked a fight with. I’m a mother, first and foremost, and my Mama Bear instincts kick in when it comes to defending my daughter and how she is raised. I also stand up to tyrants around the world in defense of human rights, liberties, and dignity as my day job. So, I won’t be bullied or silenced by some unhinged leftist trying to censor strong conservatives with the same tactics we see dictators use around the world.”
She told Watters his actions, “clogging up a hotline” that needs to be open for people to report real problems is “abhorrent” she called for him to be held accountable. Watters then remarked that “if you have an hour to waste on a hotline you probably have a pretty sad life”.
