Top WNBA player Breanna Stewart has been demanding daily that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris bring her fellow women’s basketball player Brittney Griner home.
Each tweet contains the same words, except for the number of days that Griner has been behind bars in Russia.
In the latest tweet, Stewart reported, “It has been 215 days since our friend, Brittney Griner, has been wrongfully detained in Russia.”
“It is time for her to come home. @WhiteHouse @potus @vp , we are paying attention and we are counting on you. #WeAreBG,” Stewart declared.

In a recent article, a hostage expert described the extreme trauma and challenges that Griner is likely facing.
Hostage U.S. Board member Amy Manson explained, “Some of our returnees face as much as 50 to 60 to 70 pounds lost.”
“And then we’re talking about muscle wastage, as well as the impact on their bodies of constant poor nutrition and constant stress.”
On Monday, we reported that Griner’s wife Cherelle spoke with CNN’s Abby Phillips after meeting with Biden.
Cherelle told Phillips, “I don’t think they [Biden Administration] have quite figured out exactly what Russia wants in return for BG.”
Cherelle also shared some alarming news about Brittney. The pair have been exchanging letters during her imprisonment, her recent letters “have taken a dark turn.
“She’s not well,” Cherelle told me. “She’s losing it,” Phillips shared.
