Wendy Rogers Dismisses Failed Pillow Salesman David Hogg’s Grasp at Relevance After She Calls Big Bird a ‘Communist’

Gun control activist David Hogg made a grasp at relevance today by criticizing Arizona GOP State Senator Wendy Rogers after she called Big Bird a “communist.”

The Sesame Street character has come under fire for a tweet encouraging kids to get the COVID-19 vaccine while also tagging a CNN reporter.

“My wing is feeling a little sore, but it’ll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy. (CNN reporter) Erica Hill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!” Big Bird announced in the tweet yesterday.

While Rogers didn’t directly reference the tweet, U.S. Sen Ted Cruz did in a quote tweet of Big Bird and shot back, “Government propaganda … for your 5 year old!”

Hogg asked Cruz in response, “Did you forget that you work for the government?” Of course, Cruz is an elected official who works for the people ultimately.

Fast forward to today and Hogg responded in a quote tweet to Rogers, “Republicans are talking about big bird. Democrats are passing infrastructure, cutting child poverty in half and more.”

Clearly, Hogg doesn’t understand the significance of what it is that Republicans are upset about and the influence that a children’s show can have.

Rogers, however, chose not to engage the failed pillow salesman and promptly blocked him instead, which set him off.

Hogg announced the block in a tweet where he screenshot Rogers original tweet, his quote tweet, and Rogers’ account now having his blocked.

“A story in 3 parts I thought Republicans loved freedom of speech? Guess that only applies to nazis but not when you’re too insecure to take the heat from a college student,” Hogg declared.

Hogg wasn’t done though as he quote tweeted his own tweet and suggested, “Wendy Rogers all of a sudden changes course on freedom of speech when a college student calls out her bull sh*t.

Still not finished, Hogg again quote tweeted Rogers and complained, “The whole ‘f*ck your feelings’ crowd all of a sudden have gotten very sensitive about people calling them out on their attempts to cancel big bird.”

“I’m pretty sure a public official blocking a US citizen on social media has been ruled unconstitutional btw,” Hogg continued, although that is debatable as Rogers’ account is not necessarily an official government account.

Hogg then added in a follow up tweet that he was “Going to share with a con law professor friend of mine…” in a possible attempt to get Rogers in trouble for blocking him or to get her to reverse it.

Even though Hogg has separated himself from Good Pillow, he still appears on the company’s website, which currently still doesn’t actively have pillows for sale, despite a promise on June 29 that “In 4-6 weeks, we will be launching a new website where you can order.”

The last tweet from the company was nearly 3 months ago where they mocked a report that MyPillow’s Mike Lindell had been assaulted at his “Cyber Symposium.”
