It’s being reported by a reliable source that Fox News’ Tucker Carlson might get fired after reporting about George Floyd’s fentanyl levels during the time he tragically died in the custody of Minneapolis Police. The report here details the evidence that Carlson reported on.
It is largely reported that the police caused Floyd’s death, but the report shows drugs may have been a contributing factor. Apparently, Carlson reported this is a way that wasn’t sensitive and is coming under fire.
“SOURCE: Fox’s CEO, Lachlan Murdoch, is considering suspending or firing @TuckerCarlson for insensitive reporting on new court documents that show George Floyd had a fatal level of fentanyl in his system when he died. (developing)

He’s literally the only thing that brings them any viewers anymore.

A Twitter user pointed out that if Tucker is fired it will not be good for Fox News, which is already suffering from a recent drop in their ratings, saying “He’s literally the only thing that brings them any viewers anymore.”
Here is the video from the mainstream media (an NBC affiliate) detailing the George Floyd fentanyl situation:
Jesse Lehrich tweeted:
“Tucker Carlson smeared George Floyd tonight, claiming he ‘almost certainly died of a drug overdose.’ it sickens me that the Floyd family has to endure this depravity, and I hope they sue Tucker & FOX for $3B, which is apparently the only thing that changes their behavior.”
I mean, the autopsy showed a lethal dose of fentanyl in his system at the time of death, he said on camera that he couldn’t breathe when sitting up in the squad car, and one officer said on bodycam that he noticed foam coming from Floyd’s mouth. What does that sound like? pic.twitter.com/UVdQCniyrk

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson has lost a good chunk of his base on the right already since he did not stand up for Trump attorney Sidney Powell in the days following the 2020 presidential election.
Although Powell turned out to have some questionable credibility herself down the road, perhaps giving Tucker some vindication, many Trump supporters in large part have moved on to other things such as internet news and vlogs, NewsMax, OAN, and other things to do with their time than watch Tucker Carlson and other Fox News shows they might have watched in the past.
Part of Fox News’ ratings drop may also be due to the fact that news often slows down after a major election cycle has passed, and many consider President Joe Biden to be a boring news figure, despite him pushing a radical left-wing agenda. All this says that although Tucker has survived many attempts from the left to have his show taken down previously, and may again survive this, he certainly appears to have some cause for concern here.
We have reported on multiple occasions stories about how people have tried to have Tucker Carlson removed from the airways. My Pillow’s Mike Lindell has stood up for Carlson and continued to advertise on his show and other advertisers left.
Lindell is now himself under fire, facing a Twitter ban and attempts to cancel him for his opinions on the 2020 election, which Twitter says were disinformation. We also reported previously about how Carlson’s coverage of the controversial George Floyd news that caused multi-billion dollar riots around the nation invoked anger from some. In part we reported:
Tucker Carlson led off his show tonight on Fox News by breaking down the body cam footage of George Floyd’s arrest and death that was released by the Daily Mail.

“The answer to why we haven’t seen it is simple, because Keith Ellison, he’s the Attorney General in Minnesota, hid the video from the public. He refused to release the footage.” pic.twitter.com/oIaorihYUu
Liberals on Twitter have reacted to the segment in the ways that were described by Carlson in the segment, with shock, horror and outrage. Accusations of racism and more have been levied against the show host.
Biden supporter @JRehling shared a picture from the segment where Carlson used with the caption, “We still don’t really know how George Floyd died.”
He implied that Carlson is racist because he thinks “racists would pretend like police brutality doesn’t exist even if we had it on video.”
Me: I think racists would pretend like police brutality doesn’t exist even if we had it on video.

As we stated previously in this story, Tucker has fended off many attacks before and may very well fend off this one as well, but only time will tell. We will update this story if it changes and continue to report on the situation as it develops.
