Californians Reportedly Have Enough Signatures to Begin Pushing for Recall Vote of Governor Gavin Newsom, But May Need More for Margin of Error Cushion

Movement organizers pushing for a recall of California Governor Gavin Newsom reported late last night that they have reached the necessary amount of signatures to force a recall election into effect. As we reported yesterday, this recall is much to the dismay of the Biden campaign.

To force a recall election, organizers must gain 1.5 million signatures. According to the spokesman for the campaign, Tom del Beccaro, 1.5 million signatures have been reached and they are hoping to gain 400,000 more signatures by the end of March.

The Hill reported this on Wednesday:

“Newsom’s approval rating has dropped from 64 percent in September to just 46 percent in late January, according to a poll conducted by the University of California-Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies”.

This is a monumental shift and reminds Americans across that world that Donald Trump’s 74 million supporters are not going away anytime soon! Although he cannot tweet we think Trump would be thrilled to see this resistance from a typically blue state like California.

On Wednesday, during a press conference supporting a new vaccination site, Newsom was repeatedly interrupted and berated by chants of “Recall Newsom!”. While Newsom did not vocally acknowledge the chants, it was clear that he was visibly frustrated.

The massive pushback against what people view as “tyrannical, anti-American” governors like Gavin Newsom reminds us that the American spirit and the fight against perceived evil are not dead!
